My name is Megan Allen. I was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I am a 2005 graduate of Kalamazoo Central and chose to pursue my college endeavors in Kansas City, MO. I built a wonderful and vibrant life there but decided to move back home to support the community that raised me.
Since 2013, I have been actively involved in the non-profit sector and love the work that I’m doing. Although it has had its challenges, I am dedicated to creating a more effective and efficient way to support the population I serve.
Currently, I am the Program Director at Healthy House. My heart has always been community-centered, and I believe that organizations and communities thrive when we work collectively—a true village! My role is to bring efficient programs and supporters together to help the ladies at Healthy House on their journeys to self-sufficiency.
In my free time, I love to spend time near the water, listen to music, spend time with my children and family, while enjoying good food.
