Hello friends! We're excited to share some wonderful news about how our community is growing and supporting the women here at Healthy House. As you know, our vision is a community where all women are safe, sober, and self-sufficient. We believe in helping women rebuild and reimagine their lives, and a huge part of that is making sure they have the tools and skills for long-term success after they leave our home.

That's where our BeWell program comes in! This program provides essential education to our residents, helping them tackle barriers and achieve lasting sobriety and self sufficiency. We know that true transformation takes time, and women can stay with us for up to two years while we remain actively engaged in their journey. The BeWell program is a key part of supporting this journey by teaching fundamental life skills.

We're so grateful for our partners who help make this possible! We've teamed up with The Harrington Team and UThrive Total Wellness Care to provide essential classes this spring and summer session. Marissa Harrington is sharing vital information about home ownership, which is a big goal for many of the women here. Sonja Roseman from UThrive is offering education on financial literacy and leading group therapy sessions.

As Sonja shared, her services address two essential foundations for long-term wellness and independence: mental health and financial stability. UThrive uses a therapeutic approach to look at financial behaviors and encourage daily money management, aiming to build mental stability and financial security.

These classes are chosen carefully, based on research and the lived experience of our board and staff, many of whom have navigated similar situations. Staff has found that the key components of long-term recovery include job readiness, financial literacy, and mental support. The classes directly address goals our residents have expressed, like self-sufficiency, owning a home, improving credit, and managing money effectively.

We love to see the excitement our residents have for the classes. As Ashleigh, one of our residents, put it, "[The classes] help me grow and strive for better... [they] will show me how to live and grow".

Our mission goes beyond sobriety. We believe in empowering women to live up to their full potential. Achieving safety, sobriety, and self-sufficiency really means a complete transformation in ideas, attitudes, and behavior. Through programs like BeWell, we're introducing new ideas about what safety can look like and helping women move towards building a full and meaningful life, not just counting days sober.

Healthy House is a safe, sober, structured, and nurturing environment. We offer wrap-around care that supports the whole person, with services like case management, basic life-skills training, employment support, trauma and cultural education, domestic abuse prevention, and empowerment training. We know that lasting recovery, healing, and success are truly a community effort. It really does take a village!

Thank you for being part of this incredible community of care and support.
